Esports Training Facility Wall Graphics
I supported the newly created Mizzou Esports team as they designed their first-ever training facility.
For this project, I consulted with the interior designer and head coach to come up with a plan for the space’s graphics. I then designed and finalized two wall mural graphics and all the window clings for the space.
I had two main directions in mind for this project: one was a sleek, illustrated style with all of the brand elements flowing out of the computer screen. The other was the direction we ended up going: a hyped up illustration that built the excitement for the team. I ended up creating a live-traced mural in Illustrator and running the Mizzou Esports pattern I created throughout the background.
The client on this liked this look so much that I ended up creating a second mural in the same style.

Providing graphic design support for Mizzou Esports in its first year as a program was such a learning experience. I learned a style that’s completely out of the norm for me, and I tackled huge projects – including two complete wall wrap graphics.
These projects were a practice in learning to design for something new. I immersed myself in the Esports world to find out more about the games, the teams, the aesthetic.
